Pictures from LA

First off, there were were no photo-shopped birds in this picture. They are real! So is the surfer.

This wharf is near Isobel's place. The flowers aren't; I took them at the Getty.

The rest of the pictures are all from the Getty. Isobel and I went to the Getty in LA after we couldn't get into the Villa. I took this trip last June. It was free! I cashed in my NWA frequent flier miles from the last 25 years. The girls also upgraded my flight so that I could return home on father's day FIRST CLASS.
The first picture shows some Olive trees at the Getty. Everything is very symmetrical at the Getty. (or should I say "symmetric"? What's the difference?)

DARN! Did I say first? I keep forgetting that when you blog, the first turns out to be last. Then when you add some more, it may be in the middle!

My favorite photo of all time (above) is also from the Getty. I call it "The Staircase." This picture was shown at the Edina Art Center Members Show last September. I think, perhaps, if all of my pictures were as good as this one, I could quit my job. But it was just luck and Mary's sharp eye to tell me that it was any good.
