I got a new macro lens today. I thought at first I would post the emerging asparagus from my garden, but the tulip seemed more appropriate for a family audience. The next photo is a mushroom that I photographed in Colorado near Estes Park in July 2007. I personally liked the way it turned out. But a colleague told me that the quality was low and that I needed a macro lens. His comment cost me $400.
